APPLICATION & ENROLLMENT PROCEDURES Before new applications are accepted, parents/guardians are required to attend a scheduled Open House. Open House dates are as follows: Monday, January 9 @ 6PM (Open Houses will be held in the Multipurpose Room of the Big Building). The next step is to submit an Application for Admission. Please note that the PK3 Program is tuition-based. The online application process for 2012-2013 will open on 1/9/12. Applications may also be obtained and submitted in hard copy at the CEMCS Main Office. The deadline for applications will be 3/2/2012 at 4:30 PM. Submitting an application enters the student’s name for the Lottery, which will take place on 3/12/12 at 6:00 PM at CEMCS. Applicants are welcome, but not required, to attend the Lottery. Once selections have been made, those accepted will receive a Letter of Acceptance, which must be responded to within 30 days by completing the Enrollment Forms and submitting the required documentation. Once all documents are on file, the selected student will be entered into CEMCS’s database for the upcoming school year. If an applicant’s name is not selected in the Lottery, s/he will be placed on a Wait List until a slot becomes available. Contact will be made via phone, email and/or letter regarding moving off the Wait List. Upon enrollment, parents/guardians will be required to complete a classroom observation and to attend parent education workshops before the school year begins. It is important that CEMCS is kept apprised of all changes in contact information to ensure that students remain enrolled. Should a decision be made to withdraw a student prior to the start of the school year, please provide CEMCS with a written withdrawal so that we may replace the student. CEMCS respects the right of privacy of all prospective students and families and honors the confidentiality of all records and documents received as part of the admissions process.
